Sattelberghütte

The Sattelberghütte is the ideal excursion destination on the nature and environmental experience trail with 17 exciting stations. During a hike of about two hours, interesting natural processes are explained in an illustrative way. 

Directly at the hut, you will find the small Ramsauer water world, an old walkable linden tree, and a lovingly designed forest playground. A giant forest slide, petting zoo, carousel and trough invite you to play, explore, and romp while regional alpine delicacies are served. 

Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view towards the Schladminger Tauern as well. We offer you not only a great atmosphere but also fresh, regional, and honest cuisine. It is no wonder that the Sattelberghütte is awarded as “Kulinarium Steiermark Hütte” – a sign of lived Styrian culinary tradition in an authentic atmosphere.

For example, try a special dish as part of the Schladming-Dachstein Almkulinarik by Richard Rauch.

Furthermore, there are many children’s and youth climbing routes at Sattelberg for climbing, practicing, and trying out.

The Sattelberghütte is open daily from May to October and from December to April starting at 11 a.m.
