Castle Trautenfels
Tour description
The history of the market municipality of Stainach-Pürgg dates back to the time of the Romans, who used the Ennstal as an important trade route. The first documented mention with the village name "Gruscharn" dates back to the year 1195. The proximity to the Enns and the fertile soil made the place an important hub for trade. With the construction of the railway line from Bischofshofen to Selzthal in the 19th century, new economic potentials were developed. This Nature.Power.Place symbolizes the elements that shape not only nature but also the history and identity of the market municipality.
