Castle Trautenfels
Tour description
The Gstemmer is a historic place with an eventful past, which is commemorated by the wayside shrine erected in 2022. The Gstemmer farm was first recorded in 1434 and was home to generations for centuries. In harmony with nature, hard agricultural work has always been carried out here.
In 1924, the Gstemmer was sold to the merchant Franz Schneider. However, he wanted to build a hotel instead of preserving the farm, “insured everything beforehand and then bribed his brother-in-law to set fire to the Gstemmer.” On August 22, 1924, the 600-year-old farm fell victim to the fire.
The wayside shrine at this place is meant to honor the memory of the people who lived there and to promote awareness of the responsibility to preserve nature.
THE RESONANCE EXERCISE
GSTEMMER WAYSIDE SHRINE EARTH-HEAVEN-POSE
For You
- Find a good spot and position beside the Gstemmer wayside shrine.
- Similar to the (dry) scooping gesture at the nearby Holy Spring, slowly lead your hands, held like a bowl, down in front of your body, absorb the energy of the place, then raise the bowl above your head and capture the light while distributing both qualities around your body with fully extended arms and fingers. Then, bring your arms back down in large circles to the sides.
- Dynamic repetitions deepen the exercise.
THE EFFECT ON YOUR HEALTH
Focus
- Movement
- Mental strengthening
Physical
- Invigorating, motoric, stretching
- The scooping gesture also strengthens here in the upward and downward movement: The more dynamic the exercise is performed, the more effective it is.
- In the upward movement, the spine is stretched, and during the following arm movement, the entire shoulder-arm line is further stretched using one's own strength.
- With the stretching of the arms, the exercise also promotes adaptation of fine motor skills through the adaptation of the arms and hands (the "bowl").
Mental
- Perceiving oneself as part of the greater whole
HEART QUESTION
How do I perceive my connection with Earth and Heaven?
YOUR MAGICAL MOMENT
A magical moment with the Gstemmer wayside shrine at Bleiberg includes a sunrise walk. The morning sunbeams breathe a special atmosphere into the sculpture. The view of the two-church axes (Irdning-Aigen) perfectly rounds off this moment.
